Cancel Your Teacher Pro Account Upgrade
This article walks through cancelling your Teacher Pro auto-renewing subscription. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle — you keep Teacher Pro access until the end of the year you’ve already paid for.
NOTE: This article applies only to credit-card subscriptions. If your account was upgraded with an activation code or manually, there’s nothing to cancel — the upgrade expires automatically 12 months after it was applied.
How to Cancel
From any page in the application, click your profile icon in the top-right corner. From the menu that opens, click Manage Your Account.

On the account page, select Account upgrades in the navigation.

You should see your active subscription with a Cancel button. Click it to start the cancellation.
If your subscription doesn’t have a Cancel button, your upgrade was done manually or with an activation code — those don’t need to be cancelled. They simply expire at the end of their 12-month term.

A confirmation modal will explain the next step: your upgrade stays active through the end of the current paid year, but no further charges will happen. Click Confirm cancellation to finalize.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I lose Teacher Pro features right away after cancelling?
No. Cancellation only stops the next renewal. You keep Teacher Pro access until the end of your current paid year. After that, your account reverts to free.
Can I get a refund for the remainder of the current year?
Cancellations stop future renewals but don’t refund the current paid period. If you have an unusual situation (recent purchase, billing error, etc.), email support@paperscorer.com and we’ll review.
What happens to my data when Teacher Pro expires?
Your data stays put: classes, students, assessments, scan history. You just lose access to Teacher Pro-only features (standards alignment, performance bands, higher scan limits) until you upgrade again.
Can I re-upgrade later?
Yes — upgrade again at any time. Your previous classes, students, and history will already be there.
