Switch a Student's Assessment Version

This article will show you how to switch a student's assessment version.

At times, a student will get locked into the wrong version of an assessment. But as a teachers, you can change a student's version at any time. There are two ways to change a student's assessment version; from the assessment student list view or the grading view.

Changing a Student's Version from the Assessment Student List

From the assessment list, click on the assessment action menu and click on the View students option. Or click the student count within the assessment row.

Once in the assessment student list page, click on the action menu for the student. Once the action menu is visible select the Switch version option.

After clicking on the switch version option, a modal will popup allowing you to switch a student's assessment version. Simply select which version of the assessment you want to assign and click the Switch button.

Changing a Student's Version from the Assessment Grading View

From the assessment list, click on the assessment action menu and click on the View grading option.

Once in the assessment student list page, click on the action menu for the student. Once the action menu is visible select the Switch version option.

After clicking on the switch version option, the switch version modal will pop up. Scroll up a bit in this article to see an example of the switch version modal. It will be exactly the same when switching a student's assessment version from the grading view.

Note, once the assessment version is switched, the student will automatically be added to the processing queue to re-score their assessment. This could take a few moments to complete.
