Importing Google Classroom Classes and Rosters
This article will go through the steps to import Google Classroom classes and rosters. This article assumes your Google Classroom account is already connected to your PaperScorer account. If you haven't already connected your two accounts, please read our help documentation on how to connect your Google Classroom account to your PaperScorer account.
From any page in the application, click on the create button, then select the Class option from the create menu dropdown.
After selecting the class option from the create menu dropdown, you will be presented with another modal to select a method for creating a new class. Select the Google Classroom import option. (You may see additional options in the screenshot below.)
After clicking on the Google Classroom import option, you should see a list of available classes that you can import into PaperScorer.
NOTE: Only active Google Classroom classes will be available to import into PaperScorer. If you do not see a specific class(es) in the list, check the Google Classroom portal to make sure the class is still active.
- Name (required): This is the name of the class as it appears in Google Classroom. You can change this value to something new to be saved in PaperScorer.
- Section (optional): This is the section of the class as it appears in Google Classroom. You can Change this value to something new to be saved in PaperScorer.
- Import (required): This will tell PaperScorer how to handle this class record at the time of import. Here are the different options available for this input:
- Do not import class: If this value is selected, the class will be ignored at the time of import.
- Import with X students: If this value is selected, the class will be imported along with the class roster of students.
- Import without students: If this value is selected, the class will be imported but the class roster of students will not be imported.
After the import is finished, you will be redirected to your active class list. You should see the new imported class from your Google Classroom portal.
