Manage Assessment Questions
This article will walk you through the process of managing questions for an assessment.
From the dashboard, click on the Assessments main navigation option.
Once, you click on the assessment main navigation option, you will be directed to the available assessments that you have created. If you have created an assessment yet, visit our help documentation on creating a new assessment. From the assessment list, identify which assessment you want to manage questions. Once you have identified the assessment, click on the question count cell directly on the assessment list table.
The other option(not pictured) is using the three dot sub-nav menu for each assessment. Once you click on the sub-nav menu launch button, select the View questions option.
From the assessment question management page, click on the Add a question button to launch the create question modal.
After the adding a question modal is displayed, you will need to fill out the following information:
- Select a question type: there are a few question types to choose from, each with their own set of configuration features.
- Quantity: how many questions of that type you want to add.
Let's quickly review the types of questions you can use within an assessment:
- Multiple choice (including true/false and yes/no): this question type is the most popular and will display labeled bubbles for a student to bubble in one or more answers for a question. Review our help documentation on managing the multiple choice question type.
- Number response: this question type will allow a student to record a numeric response to an assessment question. The student will be presented with a grid they can write their answer and bubble in their answer. Review our help documentation on managing the number response question type. Requires the pro teacher version of the app.
- Writing response: this question type will allow a student to write their response directly on the testing sheet and will be records when the testing sheet is scanned. This question type will need to be manually scored. Review our help documentation on managing the writing response question type. Requires the pro teacher version of the app.
Once you click save, that question type will be added to the assessment. It will be added multiple times if the quantity is set higher than 1.
