Understanding the Mobile App Status Symbols

This article reviews the status indicators you’ll see when scanning a testing sheet through the mobile app.

The mobile app uses two indicator colors to show the result of each scan:

Successful Failed

Successful Scans (Green)

When a scan is successfully sent to the engine for processing, you’ll see a green indicator. The scanned sheet will be attached to its assessment in the PaperScorer web app — view the assessment’s scan history there to see the detailed results.

NOTE: We plan to surface scan details back into the mobile app in the future. For now, all per-scan details live in the PaperScorer web app only.

Failed Scans (Red)

A red indicator means the engine couldn’t process the sheet successfully, and there will be no further information in the web app. If you see a red indicator, try the following:

  1. Re-scan the sheet, holding the phone steady and framing the entire sheet.
  2. Check that the sheet is undamaged, fully visible, and not in heavy shadow.
  3. Confirm your camera is functioning normally (clean the lens, make sure focus is working).
  4. If the problem persists, contact the PaperScorer support team.
