Viewing and Managing Your Upload History

Every time you scan sheets — via web upload or email — a new record appears in your Upload & Score history. This article explains how to navigate the history, understand the status of each upload, and manage your uploads.

Getting to Upload History

From the main navigation, click Upload & Score. The top of the page shows the upload area; below it is the Upload History table, listing every scan batch you’ve submitted.

Upload History Columns

Each row in the table is one scan batch — one uploaded PDF/image or one email. Typical columns:

Column Description
Date When the upload was submitted, with timestamp.
Type How the upload arrived — File upload or Email scan — shown as an icon.
Page Count Number of pages or images in the batch.
Status Current processing status — see next section.
(menu) A three-dot menu with a View scanned pages option (the column has no header label).

Status Values

Each upload moves through three possible statuses:

Status Meaning
Processing The engine is still working on this upload. You may see a percentage-complete indicator.
Success Every page in the batch scanned successfully.
Completed with errors At least one page failed. Open View scanned pages to see which pages failed and why. (Shown as a yellow warning label.)

Type Icons

The Type column shows how each upload arrived, using one of two icons:

  • Email scan (envelope icon) — sent to scan@paperscorer.com  (see Scanning via Email).
  • File upload (upload icon) — dragged-and-dropped or browsed from the Upload & Score page.

Viewing Upload Details

Open a row’s three-dot menu and pick View scanned pages to see:

  • A summary of successes and failures (e.g. “18 successful scans / 2 failed scans”)
  • A thumbnail of every page in the batch
  • Per-page status — a Success badge or a Failure badge with the error reason
  • Links to view the full scanned image of each page

From the detail view you can click any thumbnail to see the full-size scanned image, review failure reasons for any failed pages, and identify which students’ sheets need attention.

Filtering Upload History

If you have many uploads, use the filter menu above the history to narrow what you’re looking for:

  • Filter by date range — set a start and end date, or use one of the date-range presets, to see only uploads from a specific window.
  • Sort by column — click the Date, Page Count, or Status header to sort ascending or descending.

What Happens to My Uploads?

Every uploaded page goes through the same pipeline:

  1. Sent to the PaperScorer engine for processing.
  2. Matched to an assessment and student (using the QR code and student-ID bubbles).
  3. Scored against the answer key.
  4. Stored with the corresponding assessment.

The scanned sheet image is retained so you can view it later from the student’s individual result page (and use it for manual corrections; see Changing a Question Answer).

Processing Times

Most uploads complete in under a minute. Large PDFs (100+ pages) may take several minutes. Email scans can take a few extra minutes due to email delivery delays.

If an upload has been in Processing for more than 15 minutes, refresh the page. If it’s still processing after 30+ minutes, contact support@paperscorer.com with the upload identifier.

Removing a Scanned Sheet

Individual entries in the Upload History are kept as a permanent audit trail and aren’t deletable from the history view. You have two ways to remove a scan from an assessment:

  • Delete just the scan — open the assessment’s Scan History view, find the scanned sheet, and choose Delete scanned test from its action menu.
  • Remove the whole student — open the assessment’s Students tab and choose Remove from assessment from the student’s row menu (this removes the student along with their scan).

If you need broader cleanup of old uploads, contact support@paperscorer.com.
