Understanding the PaperScorer Dashboard
The Dashboard is your home base in PaperScorer — the first page you see after signing in, designed to surface the most common actions quickly. This article walks through what each section of the Dashboard does and how to use it.
Dashboard Layout
The Dashboard is organized into a few sections that may differ slightly depending on your account type (free, Teacher Pro, or Enterprise). The constants you’ll always see:
- The top navigation bar (Dashboard, Classes, Students, Assessments, Upload & Score, account menu)
- Quick action cards for managing classes, students, and assessments
- The mobile app section promoting iOS / Android scanning
- A feedback link to send suggestions or bug reports to the team
Trial Scan Counter (Free Accounts)
If you’re on a free account, the top of the Dashboard shows how many free scans you have remaining for the trial. You’ll see the count used and a progress visualization. Once you hit the trial limit, you’ll be prompted to upgrade to a Teacher Pro account to continue scanning.
Quick Action Cards
The main section of the Dashboard shows three large action cards for the most common tasks:
Manage Classes
A class is a container for a group of students. You’ll need at least one class before you can print pre-filled answer sheets. From this card you can create new classes, edit existing ones, and manage rosters — see Creating a Class.
Manage Students
Students belong to one or more classes. From this card you can add students individually, bulk import from a CSV, or import from a connected LMS.
Manage Assessments
An assessment is the test, quiz, or worksheet you want PaperScorer to grade. From this card you can create new assessments, edit existing ones, print answer sheets, and view results — see Creating an Assessment.

Mobile App Section
The Mobile App section promotes PaperScorer’s iOS and Android scanning app. The app lets you scan completed sheets with your phone’s camera and is ideal for quick grading of small batches. See Getting Started with the PaperScorer Mobile App for install instructions.

PaperScorer is actively developed based on teacher feedback. If you have suggestions, feature requests, or bug reports, use the feedback option on the Dashboard (or email support@paperscorer.com) to reach us directly.
Top Navigation Bar
Above the Dashboard content sits the main navigation bar, always visible on every page:

Enterprise Dashboard
If your school or district has an Enterprise PaperScorer account, your Dashboard may look different. Enterprise users typically see additional widgets for:
- Usage monitoring — scan counts and unique students/teachers across the district
- Billing period — current period stats and a chart of daily activity
- Member management — quick links to manage enterprise users
